GUEST SPEAKERS
Darek and Corey gave the presentation of thier ABA Clear Lake tournament.Corey brought his laptop with photos of the lake and weigh in.We want to thank them both for the report.They ended up in the top 25.There were 180 boats.
NO CLUB MEETING IN JANUARY
Since the banquet is being held we will not be having a  Jan meeting.Hopefully join us at the banquet
ANGLER OF YEAR &BIG  FISH AWARDS
At the annual banquet we will be presenting theAngler of Year and big Fish awards>Bruce Cuthill Angler of Year and Gary Overcash for Big Fish

CLUB OFFICERS CHOSEN
Well the nominees were very few to select  from Re-Elect Club Pres/Sec. Larry Rinier  New Club Treasurer/Vice Pres Bob Brown.Tournament Director Jim Hill  re-elected.

GUEST SPEAKERS
 Darek and Corey will give the Clear Lake presentation from the ABA tournament.I know I am anxious to hear all about it.We want to thank Dave Sanders for his Mexico Resort presentation.
CLUB BANQUET SET JAN 17th
The club banquet will be held at Elmers Resturant Saturday Jan 17th at 7pm.We discussed that the  resturant is nice enough and the food as well that we will have the banquet there.We will have our raffles and awards for the Big Fish and Angler of the Year.Hope you can make it.
NEXT CLUB MEETING DEC 2nd
The next meeting  will be the last for 2008 the Banquet will start the new year.Tuesday Dec 2 at 7pm at Elmers Resturant in Albany.

OCT 7   2008
CLUB NOMINATIONS
We are currently  waiting to see if we have any nominations for the  club officers for 2009.So far  it is looking like some may to step up and try it again.Anyway the current officers will continue to do the job.
NORTHWEST CLUB CLASSIC OCT 11th
This year Bruce Cuthill and Dave Dunn along with Jim Hill and Mark Brady will be attending the NWCC.Lets wish them good luck for the club.If they were to win the tourney  then our club would have to organize it for next year which is part of the deal.
BYLAW  COMMITEE
We are going to set a  time TBA to  once again update the club bylaws and try to simplify some of the rules.If you would like to be a part of it then email me asap so we can get things corrected
OCT 18,19 TOURNAMENT
The last tournament of the year is coming upon us.It will be held Saturday Oct 18 at TenMile and then Sunday Oct 19 at Loon Lake.Jim Hill the tournament director set the Sat time for 6:30am at the county ramp Sunday TBA for Lake.
CLUB BANQUET PLANNING
One thing I forgot to bring up at the meeting was the planning of the club banquet.It is something we will need to do at the Nov meeting to get things going for this.Unless someone catches a bigger fish Gary Overcash is currently the leader for BIG FISH and Bruce Cuthill for ANGLER OF THE YEAR
OREGON BASS FISHOFF SEPT 27,28
The Oregon BASS held the state fishoff at TenMile and Mike Basket,Dave Palmer,Kory Ray made up the rest of the state team good luck to them.
WEIGH IN BAGS
I have been trying to get a correct count as to the number of weigh in bags that some members may have.I know we had 12  at one time but that isnt the amount that the Tournament director has in his possesion with the rest of the tourney stuff.If you have one  let me know just so we can make sure we have enough still to use.
NEXT CLUB MEETING
The next club meeting will be held Tues November 4th at Elmers Resturant in Albany.
GUEST SPEAKERS FOR NOVEMBER
Darek Nelson and Corey Thomas will be giving us a presentation of fishing the ABA finals at Clear Lake ,Calif.We want to wish them good luck at fishing this tournament.They said they will bring back  some pics and tell us all about.
Former member Dave Sanders will also be there to tell us about the Bass Fishing Resort that he runs that is down in Mexico.He is back up here for a couple months then will be returning.I am sure he has some whopper stories for us to hear as well.

Aug& Sept 08

MEMBERSHIP  WAVIER AND RELEASE FORMS MUST BE SIGNED.
As per B.A.S.S. the club must have waiver forms signed and kept on file at least 7years for the BASS insurance.Also we must update the members personal liabiltiy insurance.We need updated copies in the files as well.Please show copy of your insurance at the next metting for those that have boats.As of now most members have signed a waiver and release but now we need copies of personal boat liability insurance as well.Those members that havent need to get this in.
BASS CLUB FINED
A Bass club that fished a tournament without notifiy to OSP and ODFW as required by bass clubs was fined $750.  for not doing so.

NEW CLUB MEETING AREA
We have made arrangement with Elmers Resturant on Santiam Hwy next to Albertsons store in Albany,Or.We will start having club meeting on Aug 5.They have a nice small banquet room we can use each month from now on.

GUEST SPEAKER
Gary Galovich from the ODFW came to our meeting and what an outstanding presentation he did.We thank him for taking time to do this for us and  hope we can get him back again.We devoted most of the time for his presentation and those of you that couldnt make missed  out this time.If you get a chnace to hear one from him be sure to attend you will not be disappointed.The ODFW has many projects going on and  many more for the future.
DISCUSSION OF FUNDS
We are still taking the time to talk about Jim Hill proposals at the next meeting.If you have an idea please let us hear what you have.
JUNE  28 DORENA TOURNAMENT
We were so busy we didnt get a sign up sheet for Dorena going so if you would like to plan on fishing this please give me email with sign up info.I was there last weekend and caught a couple nice bass while there.Will be posting times for this asap.
ANGLER OF YEAR & BIG FISH OF YEAR LEADERS
Currently Bruce Cuthill is leading the angler of year points with Dave Dunn on his heals.The Big Fish is currently being held by Gary Overcash for the year

May 6th MEETING
5 members and 1 family member  attended the meeting.Want to say thanks  to those that attended.We also want to thank the Ameri-Title Company along with Gary Overcash.
DISCUSSION OF FUNDS
Jim Hill made a suggestion as to come up  with a plan on the club contributing to  tournament payout.He suggested on a cap on the funds the club has and then once the club reaches the cap amount then the tournament entry fees start to go back to the members.It will help on some of the costs to get to tournaments to those that win and possibly bring more members to compete in tourneys.There has been some of the lowest turnouts I have seen but it is also very understandable these days with the fuel cost rising so fast with really no end yet.We need some input from members as to their feelings about this.Be at the next meeting to voice your vote.
WELCOME NEW MEMBER 
Please welcome new club member Paul Geck of Salem.He fished as a guest with Mark Brady at the Wallace Park tournament.They ended up 2nd place

2008 FISHING FORMAT
We discussed this year format for the Northwest Club Classic and the Oregon BASS Fishoff.The club will still sponsor 2 team for the NWCC.The fishoff is open to any club member so anyone attending that will be on thier own exspense.
